Presents the 10th Annual East Coast Wahine Championships Before printing out your entry form, please read the following information Address any entry questions to Erin@eastcoastwahines.com NOTE: Please do not request signature confirmation for any priority/express/overnight style mailings- this actually takes longer becuase if Erin isn't home, they have to keep coming back until she is. Amateurs-we will divided you into age divisions once entries have been received. Don't worry, you will be surfing against wahines your own age. This allows us to accept as many entries as possible. We will update all the divisions online prior to the event. GSI One Design Challenge- This division is new in 2006. This is an open, all ages division and every competitor will ride the same size/shape surfboard. You may enter ONLY ONE One Design Division. Choices include the Funboard, a 7'6" Blue Surfboard or a Fish, a 6' Seven Surfboard. Heats will be drawn randomly so you never know who you will be stacked up against! Guppies-this is our 10 and under division. Parents may assist their children in these divisions, though we ask that safety be your number one concern. While you may want to help push your child into waves, please be aware of other surfers. Novices- This is an all ages division and you may ride any size surfboard.This is for surfers who have never entered a contest before. Novices skill level range from just learning to stand up, to knowing how to go down the line and perhaps turn. If you've been surfing for years and feel confident in your ability, but never surfed in a contest, you may want to consider entering the the amateur. We will have the conest rules posted online and at the contest site. If Novices have any questions on how a contest heat is run, please do not hesitate to ask. Parking Passes- You will see on the entry form the opportunity to purchase a parking pass for $10. This is good for all pay lots and metered spots on Wrightsville Beach for August 19-20. It's a great deal and we highly recommend it. All competitors- The ECWC's goal is to promote, support, and encourage women's surfing and the confidence, strength, and bonds of friendship it brings.
